a pair of portland pencil cases
a few years ago my sister abby gave me handmade style by anna graham of noodlehead.
while i've looked through this book many times and made plans to make lots of the projects, i've never actually pulled the trigger. that is until last week when i made a pair of pencil cases for nora and etta.
i whipped these up with the intention of having them match the on the go organizers i made, hence the same fabric combination, which is of course centers around the put a bird on it print.
overall i love how they came together. man between this, my undying love for little things to sew (projects here, here, here and here), and my recent obsession with projects from sewing happiness (here and here) i'm all about sewing patterns from books these days.
as with my recent zippered bags from sewing happiness i included a pocket on the inside.
and my label on the other side.
now i just need to make a trip to the stationary store to get another set of colored pencils. right now i only have one, and sharing won't do!
love,
aunt maggie
