at long last a baby in the sailboat top

i guess we can file this one under ‘good things come to those who wait’.

back in 2016 i made this oliver + s 6-12 month sailboat top. at the time it was intended for a gift, but for whatever reason i never gave it away (probably because by the time i finished it the child for whom it was intended had out grown it).  i always thought another opportunity would present itself for me to give it as a gift, but it never did and honestly i forgot about it.

fast forward eight years when it finally got worn … by my very own baby! here are some pictures in talia in it during a recent trip to the bay area discovery museum.
