hi, i'm maggie.

(like the rod stewart song)

i'm an elder millennial living in the bay area who loves dark beer, the environment, and sewing for the tiny humans in my life.

seemingly overnight talia has outgrown all her pants.

after the week we’ve had i needed a win. in an attempt to be a good environmentalist and use what already exists rather than buy something new, i decided to make her some pants from fabric in my stash.

i picked up this purple knit at stonemountain & daughter when i first found out i was having a little girl two years ago. well i decided it was time to put it to use and made some oliver + s playtime leggings.

i made size 2, because i already had the pattern piece for that size traced and cut.  they are a little long on my 14th percentile 18th month old, but that problem will solve itself.

i was able to knock out the pants in under 20 minutes leaving us plenty of time to hit up a local park for some sunshine and serotonin.

climb on baby girl. female bodily autonomy may be completely obsolete by the time you start kindergarten, but i know you will challege it, just you challenged the 2-5 year age recommendation of this play structure.

love,

(a very heartbroken) aunt maggie
