hi, i'm maggie.

(like the rod stewart song)

i'm an elder millennial living in the bay area who loves dark beer, the environment, and sewing for the tiny humans in my life.

today i'm going to share the things i've sewn for this sweet girl.

when sammie told me she was having a girl last september i immediately got to work on my future niece's wardrobe, because as a fellow youngest sister i didn't want her to be left out.

first i made a pair of just hatched baby leggings (a made by rae pattern).

next up was this paisley tunic to match her cousins back to school dresses and her sister's hide and seek dress. i used the music box jumper pattern from oliver + s, but altered it into a tunic because of fabric limitations.

to match her sister's snow day outfit i made a hopscotch top and playtime leggings, both oliver + s patterns.

next i made a lullaby layette top (another oliver + s pattern) from the fireworks fabric to match maya's dress

finally like her sister i felt my future niece needed a 'put a bird on it' outfit. so i whipped her up a lullaby layette onesie from the bird print.

since neela arrived the sewing has continued. when maya had a lorax themed birthday party i made neela these lullaby layette pants.

maya also has a pair, such attire is necessary in warding off my parents dog (a spray bottle of water helps too).

obviously neela had to be included with the beatles fabric so i made her a 2+2 top, which is an oliver + s pattern (shocking i know).

and last but not least these baby pants (the art museum trousers pattern from oliver + s) in corduroy get a lot of wear now that she is on the move.

love,

aunt maggie
