another playdate
quick post today....
i first saw this joel dewberry print at gather here a few years ago. it was beautiful but i wasn't sure how i would find coordinating fabric so i held off.
a few months later i saw it for sale on fabric.com when i was order something else and this time i couldn't help myself.
however my initial instincts were right...that pink and magenta proved difficult to match. my next choice, a crisp white, looked too bright and distracted from the print. i was at a loss. that is until i held it up to some periwinkle left over from maya's peacock costume.
perfect!
i settled on making maya another play date dress since the first one had been so well received. it turned out darling.
even in the dreary michigan weather!
