(like the rod stewart song)

i'm an elder millennial living in the bay area who loves dark beer, the environment, and sewing for the tiny humans in my life.

put a fern on it

so our offical wedding hashtag is #theredwoodweddingofmaggieandvictor and on loveauntmaggie it's #auntmaggiegetsmarried. But if I'm being honest these nuptials would better be summed up with something else all together: #putafernonit

let me back up. you might recall the overall vision of our wedding is something along the lines of "enchanted redwood forest":

a lot of plants right?

you see I always look at wedding flowers and think "such a shame they'll be dead in a few days". so for our own wedding I decided that didn't have to be the case: all the centerpieces would be living plants and I was going to grow them.

as a result our porch has become a small forest over the past few month. there are Boston ferns,

rabbits foot ferns,

persian shield plants,

begonias,

and japanese painted ferns just to name a few.

it may have started off small...

but it has really grown.
