my obsession with making play food for maya and neela continues....

today i am going to show how i made some play bow tie pasta for them.

materials

  • cream felt
  • cream thread
  • pinking shears
  • scissors

instructions

1. Cut a 2 inch by 2 inch square, cutting two parallel sides with the pinking shears.

2. pinch together and secure with a few stitches.

3. repeat a few dozen times until you have enough pasta.

the bag is from whole foods (the kind you put the pay-per-pound coffee in). I cut it down with pinking shears and attached a piece of Velcro with superglue so it closed. For the window I traced a pint glass, cut out the circle, and glued in a piece of cellophane.

love,

aunt maggie
